Leslie Herrera is the Finance Director for the City of Dayton. The Finance Department is responsible for the proper, accurate, and timely recording Herreraof collections and disbursements of city funds and the reporting of these transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

This department develops, coordinates, and monitors the city's spending plans, including the annual operating budget and capital improvement program. The department is also responsible for cash management and investments, processes receipts of city monies, and performs payroll distribution. 

Our goal is to structure and manage municipal administration, budgeting, and planning processes, and, in doing so, prioritize the community's basic needs and promote the community's social and economic development. In addition, we will achieve and maintain long-term viability.           

In following applicable local, state, and federal guidelines, finance strives to maintain a professional and ethical approach while managing and administering the city's fiscal financial affairs.
