Goulder-Frick's current term will expire in May 2024.

A top-10 honor graduate of Dayton High School, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Houston with a major in Management Information Systems. She applied her degree/major and project management skills/certification while working in information technology positions for 5 years at Northrop Electronics in Los Angeles, 15 years at Boeing Information Systems in Seattle and 10 years at Boeing Space Exploration in Clearlake.

Dayton became her hometown in 1963 when she moved here with her parents Eddie and Dorothy Faye Goulder and younger siblings Von, Don, Steve and Beverly. Her husband Brett is a transplant from Seattle who moved to Texas with Janette when Boeing transferred her from Seattle to Clearlake.

Tonya Smikal, Position 4

Tonya Smikal is a 1991 graduate of Dayton High School. She and her husband, Glenn, are both third-generation residents of Dayton and have five grown children and two grandchildren. She went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix while working in the insurance industry. Tonya has worked in various management roles locally for more than 20 years. She is no stranger to the business community as she is well known from her time serving with the Dayton Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador and on the Board of Directors and with the Dayton Community Development Corporation. She also volunteers for various charitable organizations in the community, some of which include the Linney-Acie Cemetery Association, Ryan “Batman” Williams Foundation, and the Shane Detwiler Foundation. In her spare time, Tonya enjoys spending time with family and friends, church activities and hunting.

Valorie Barton, Position 5  

Barton's current term will expire in May 2025.

Valorie Jackson Barton native of Dayton Texas. Valorie was born and raised in Dayton Texas, granddaughter of local farmer Clarence Brown, who was known as one of the best breeders of pigs between Sugarland to Orange County or in the East Texas Region. Valorie attended and graduated early from Dayton HS. Valorie later went on to attend Lee College of Baytown, Texas, San Jacinto College in Houston, and is currently enrolled in the University of Phoenix, obtaining her degree in supply, chain management, and business. She is the mother of three. Kenneth, Kendra, and L’Destiney Barton. Valorie has two grandsons. Kino Barton, and Olu Femi Ayotunde. Valorie is a Sr. Contracts Manager for the Tennessee valley authority, which is a federal agency of the government. Valerie has a previous 25 years of experience and has been in the oil and gas sector where she has primarily worked on major capital projects, globally in supply chain management.
